Bronze Triskel Pendant featuring a motif well known from many artefacts discovered in Ireland and Britain. The original Triskel (a motif consisting of a triple spiral), that inspired the design of this pendant, dates back to the 6th century, when it was crafted as a decorative part of a cauldron (Hitchin, Hertfordshire, England). The three parts, or worlds/realms, are depicted here as part of a whole. Such motifs adorn the illuminated Book of Durrow and the famous Book of Kells (8th century) as well as the brooch of Tara (County Meath, Ireland, 8th Century) and brooches from Lagor (Ireland).
